The CSN Claims Department strives to work closely with each of our providers to assure the best help and service possible for you. We also work hard to ensure timely and accurate claims payment. In an effort to provide you with all the resources you need to get your claims paid correctly, we have assembled the following information for your convenience and future reference.
Our Claims Department is available for inquiry and to receive claims Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST. We are able to discuss claims status, paid/denied claims, member verification and benefits information and any other claims-related issues. You may reach us for inquiry via telephone at (901) 266-7276, or toll-free at 1-888-276-9299, and via email at claims@csnwt.org.

Note: If your claims are delivered via courier to our physical address, do not leave your claims unattended. Please ensure that they are received by a CSN employee.
Unless otherwise specified in your contract, we request that you submit your claim within 180 days of the date of service, or within one year of the date of service if CSN is the secondary coverage. CSN’s policy is to pay all clean claims within 30 days of claim receipt. A clean claim is defined, as noted in our CSN Claims Processing Policy, as the following:
A claim submitted on the correct claim form
- Most current CMS 1500 for Professional and Nutrition services
- Most current UB-04 for Hospital and Waiver Therapy services
- Dental Claim form for Dental services
- Specialty Invoice for specialty or DME services
A claim that meets HIPAA compliance standards
A claim that meets current year coding requirements
For Waiver Therapy claims, a claim that meets Division of Mental Retardation Services (DMRS) guidelines
Please also note that if you do not agree with the original claims determination made by CSN, you may appeal your claim to us within 180 days of the original determination using any of the above communication modes. CSN will reconsider your claim up to two appeal levels.
